Our spruce goose Carla

BeautificationOur spruce goose Carla

Today we spent some time with Carla. She was very special to us because she lived on our millpond here in Queensborough for over a year or more and became injured and could not fly. When the fall came the geese all left except for Carla.  Over the winter we kept her fed and warm as best we could considering she was a wild bird. We took the care and guidance from “The Three Duckies Ranch” Greg O to help assist us with her rescue and on New Years Day 2023 we captured her. She now is safe and loved and has entered a new home with other injured geese just like her. She has had a few up and down days and lost a bit of weight but she is doing well. On occasion we drop by to visit her. Today was that day. We thank “The Three Duckies Ranch” for there expertise and care in keeping her safe & happy

Today Carla moved into the larger pen with Molson, Maple & Poopheads. She enjoyed an hour long bath and experiencing a bit of adjusting all seem to be getting along. She then moves inside with the others safe and warm for the evening. Sleeping comfortably!
